Summary

This issue examines the production of critical knowledge in the social sciences of language. We first question the relationship that the academic field, marked by increased liberalization, maintains with its exterior. The texts that we then propose are confronted with discursive materiality, to see how, from concepts to corpora, it is possible to practice critical and political research in the social sciences of language. Finally, epistemological and methodological considerations complete this reflection, by presenting certain decolonial approaches, then by recontextualizing the challenges of so-called quantitative methods of analysis.
