- Summary
-
This volume includes five recent researches on the Roman colonization. These studies relate to the procedure of creation of new colonies, by distinguishing the formation of the community and the urban creation, to the colonial territorial dynamics, analyzed starting from the territories of Sena Gallica and Potentia, which have been the subject of long research, as well as to the question of municipal autonomy and civic status. Taking into account the longue durée, they show the flexibility of adaptation of Roman territorial domination. A conclusion by Chr. Smith emphasizes the research perspectives opened by this work.
