"Telling one’s Life", or the autobiographical on stage, is at the heart of the critical notebook, which looks at how these new theatrical autobiographies do or do not constitute a 'staging of the self', how they feed on egotism, at the crossroads between individual history and history, and what genres and formats they can go through. The other two notebooks take on the colours of Ukraine, with a focus on Ukraine and theatre after 24 February 2022, or what the war has reconfigured on Ukrainian stages and in Ukrainian writing, and to discover two very contemporary plays by Ukrainian playwrights Neda Nejdana and Natalka Vorojbyt.
