During a study day co-organised by the ITI HiSAAR (University of Strasbourg) and the ISTA (UFC) in 2021, archaeologists, historians of religions and specialists in Greek, Sanskrit and Chinese literature examined the artistic productions (coins and reliquaries) that bear witness to exchanges between Greek and Indian workshops and the literary construction of historico-religious figures (the Indian sage Calanos, the Greco-Indian king Menander) or myths (the Indian columns of Heracles, the black water of the river Melas) that are emblematic of the meetings between Greece and India.
